This is related to testing so your chosen veterinarian can uncover unexpected illnesses and injuries to create a treatment plan.
Understanding that at any and all breeds deserve health insurance. We allow any breed to be protected by PetExpert.
We provide a waiting period of 3 days for accidents, 30 days for illneses, and 6 months for orthopedic surgeries.

Routine or preventative care, such as regular vet check-ups, vaccines, and preventive medications (like flea and tick control) are all things that can be expected throughout the lifetime of a pet. Because these costs can be planned and budgeted for, they are not included in cover.
Pre-existing conditions are conditions that were present prior to the start of your insurance policy and during the waiting period. We do not cover pre-existing conditions.
It depends on your specific situation. Our pet insurance starts at € 25 / month for cats per year and € 30 / month. Get a quote here to see what works best for you and your unique pet.
There are some basic requirements to sign your pet up with PetExpert:
- You live in Belgium
- Your pet is at least 8 weeks old
- Your pet is not over the maximum age of 10 years for small breed dogs , 8 years for medium breeds and cats, and 6 years for large breeds.
Please note that we welcome dogs and cats of every shape, size, and breed outside of the above requirements.
